The news of a second fatal shooting that has torn apart a family in the metro Atlanta area has left them in complete shock.

Atlanta police officers responded to a shooting incident on Tuesday night, August 20, along Springside Drive, which is parallel to Cleveland Avenue and Mt. Zion Road.

Courtney Reese, 32, was discovered by police outdoors, lying on the ground and suffering from several gunshot wounds. According to APD, Reese passed away from her wounds in spite of attempts to save her life.

A 27-second video clip that was purportedly recorded by a Ring security camera system was made available to Videy on Wednesday. The footage is too gruesome to see, but what you see is a tall person approaching Reese as he stands outside a house. The person looked to be clad entirely in white and was sporting a hooded sweatshirt.

In the footage, Reese can be heard pleading. I'm not..." You witness the man raise his hands and fire at close range as she is pleading with him. Even after Reese fell, the shooter fired at least ten times before vanishing from view down the driveway.

Although Atlanta Police Homicide is looking into the fatal shooting, as of Wednesday afternoon, no information on a potential suspect has been added to the case.

Reese's family is hoping authorities apprehend the guy before any more innocent victims lose their lives since they think he is a man with whom she had a past relationship.

Reese leaves behind four children: an 11-year-old son and three girls, ages 13, 9, and 6.

Reese's sister was killed in a shooting in Dekalb County a few months ago, according to her aunt.

Sametria Edwards-McCord, 29, was shot on May 24 in the 2000 block of Chestnut Hill Circle in Decatur, according to DeKalb County Police.

A sizable group of people gathered at a house for a family member's repast, according to the police. McCord was shot while standing in the crowd, and the police claim that gunfire could be heard coming from other houses down the street.

After being taken to the hospital quickly, McCord passed away from her wounds.

A 16-year-old suspect in the shooting has been identified, according to DeKalb County Police, although he has not yet been taken into custody. Their family maintained there was no connection between the two shootings.
